Photomicrographic analysis is a powerful tool for assessing precision cast parts. It utilizes highly magnified images of the surface of investment casting to identify defects, determine grain size, assess micro-cleanliness and other characteristics. They can also be used to make highly accurate measurements for validation, approvals and investigations. The images are so detailed that they can show features as small one micron in some cases.
