Aluminum is an excellent metal for investment casting with numerous alloy options. Following are some of the properties of Aluminum 535:
- It has excellent resistance to corrosion.
- Heat treating is not required to achieve full properties.
- It has excellent polishing and anodizing ratings.
- It is easily machined – up to 18 times faster than malleable and gray iron.
- It is not well-suited for some welding applications.
