    While cutting-edge technology and equipment are vital to PPCP’s success in investment casting, it is our people who make it happen. Every member of our team plays an important role in our company and in serving our customers. Following are key staff members who lead our team:

    Andrew Miller
    President and CEO

    Andrew is the second generation to lead PPCP. Andrew grew up involved in the business, starting at PPCP in his teen years and continued to work in manufacturing roles throughout high school and college. After completing his degree from Temple University, he became involved in the business full time. He then earned his MBA from Lebanon Valley College in May 2007. After holding many key positions, he became the President of PPCP in 2007 and purchased the business from his father, Richard, in the fall of 2008. A key focus for Andrew is taking PPCP to new levels under his leadership. Andrew is happily married to his wife, Heather, who is an elementary school teacher. They have been blessed with two beautiful daughters. Andrew’s interests include involvement in his church, golfing and hunting.

    Richard Miller
    Chairman of the Board

    Richard Miller founded PPCP in 1983 and grew the business from an exciting idea into a multi-million-dollar corporation. As a startup company, PPCP steadily grew under his ownership and direction. While Richard sold the business to his son, Andrew, he remains actively involved in a financial and advisory role within the organization. Richard and his wife, Vohnie, both graduated from Houghton College with degrees in Business Administration. They thoroughly enjoy having more free time to spend with grandchildren, travel and for other personal interests.

    Richard Schmidt
    Vice President of Process Control

    Rick joined PPCP when the company purchased Quality Investment Castings in 2003. He brings exceptional knowledge and skill at creating sound processes within an investment casting facility. Rick oversees process control and first article sampling, and leads teams dedicated to achieving process improvement.

    Ross Miller
    Vice President of Sales

    Ross first joined PPCP in 2007 and has served in a variety of capacities over the years. In 2018, he settled into a sales role, taking over as manager in 2021. He and his team handle all aspects of customer relations, delivery compliance, customer retention and new customer development.

    Dan Hummel
    Vice President of Operations

    Dan is responsible for the production operations, overseeing the day-to-day manufacturing of castings. His key focuses are on ensuring that customers receive excellent quality, on-time delivery and parts that meet specifications and exceed expectations. Before being promoted to Vice President, Dan was a shift supervisor and ran finishing and melting. Dan joined PPCP in 1994.

    Sandra G. Burrows
    QA Manager

    Sandra has been involved in quality control in foundries throughout her career. Since joining PPCP in 1991, she has elevated our company’s quality systems to new levels. Sandra has extensive expertise in the specifications and requirements of many industries (including nuclear), which helps make PPCP a valuable supplier and partner to its customers. She was instrumental in PPCP’s PED certification and the development of its quality system. Sandra hosts all external audits, as well as auditing the supply base to ensure the strictest compliance and success.

    Kenny Achenbach
    Lab Manager

    Ken is the heart and soul of our materials oversight. He runs the lab where metals are analyzed and records the chemical and mechanical properties of every heat of metal poured at PPCP. Ken also does corrosion testing and metallographic analysis. Through his efforts and impressive knowledge base, PPCP can ensure that we meet every specification directed by customers. Ken has been with PPCP since 1991.

    Branden Hibshman
    Director of Finance and Administration

    Branden oversees the administration of Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, Human Resources and Safety policies and activities for PPCP. In addition, he plays an active role on the leadership team, which guides the management and direction of the company. Branden first joined PPCP in 2004.

    Jacob Boylen
    Process Control Technician

    Jacob primarily works on process control and process improvement. He is a CMM operator, conducts dimensional layouts, first article inspections and wax mold verifications, updates the Quality Assurance Display System and more. Jacob also interacts with customers on a daily basis. He started at PPCP in 2013 in the maintenance department and shortly thereafter was promoted to Process Control Technician.

    Donald “Butch” Sands
    Process Control Technician

    Butch’s responsibilities include sampling all new jobs through the shop, and assisting with quoting and associated activities. He led the introduction of aluminum alloys to the PPCP casting materials menu. During his 24 years of investment casting experience, he has done every job in the plant and has managed every function in the foundry. Butch first came to PPCP in 1990.

    Crystal Miller
    Human Resources Manager

    Crystal plays a truly vital role at PPCP as the first contact with customers and vendors calling in to our company. She ensures that their inquiries are promptly routed to appropriate individuals, who can effectively address their needs. Crystal strongly believes that customers should talk to a caring person, not a machine. She also assists with an array of H.R. activities, including employment interviewing and selection. Crystal came to PPCP in 2008.
